A METHOD FOR THE EVALUATION OF IMAGE SHARPNESS IN LUNAR NEGATIVES.

Abstract

The paper outlines a simple method for the evaluation of image sharpness in lunar negatives. Image sharpness is given a numerical value derived from microdensitometric tracings, so that the personal equations of individual scrutineers are largely eliminated. The method is of particular use in the cataloguing of large numbers of lunar negatives. (Author)
