A PROPOSED ROCKET-BORNE PHOTOMETER.

Abstract

This paper describes the early stages in the development of an experiment designed to measure the luminance of the sky, at heights above 90 km, from a Skylark sounding rocket. The development of a logarithmic amplifier to cover the large variation in signal levels expected is outlined. Details are also given of the difficulties involved in making these measurements under daylight conditions. (Author)
