SOLID STATE IMAGE INTENSIFIERS.
Abstract
The Moire pattern of image intensifiers built on etched electrode substrates was eliminated. Experiments with black separating layers showed decreased output brightness and deposition of a white reflecting layer above the black layer is being tried to increase the brightness. A metal screen substituted well for the semitransparent gold electrode on top of the image intensifier and simplified connecting problems in the modular construction. Life test experiments have been continued on different silicone resin coated El cells. (Author)
