OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE OF THE ST2015-C S-BAND 200 WATT TWT AMPLIFIER.

Abstract

A 200 W, CW, S-band amplifier was built using an STS-101 traveling-wave tube. The report describes the amplifier system, the ST2015-C, and provides the information necessary to install, operate, and maintain the system. The amplifier provides a minimum of 30 dB small signal gain from 2 to 4 GHz with a minimum CW power output of 200 W (300 W nominal). The system power requirements are 208 V (line to line), three phase, 400 Hz at 15 A per phase and 28 V dc at 2 A. The system is packaged in aircraft-type cases and is suitable for operation in a pressurized aircraft. (Author)
