DESIGNING OF INSTALLATION 'TOKAMAK TM-3,'

Abstract

Installation 'Tokamak TM-3' is intended for investigation of the confinement of hot plasma by a magnetic field of closed configuration. Plasma heating is accomplished by flow of current along the plasma column. During 1961-1965 'Tokamak TM-3' was constructed, designed to produce a magnetic field with a value of up to 50 kOe when its geometry is correct. The article describes the installation in detail, including the winding of its magnetic field and its toroidal discharge chamber. (Author)
