NEWTON: A GENERAL PURPOSE PROGRAM FOR SOLVING NONLINEAR SYSTEMS.

Abstract

A computer program is described for solving nonlinear systems of equations by Newton's method on the CDC 3600. The program features automatic analytic differentiation for the construction of the Jacobian matrix, and automatic error analysis at the option of the user. (Author)
