FIBERGLASS-EPOXY DROP-FOOT BRACE.

Abstract

The report describes the fabrication and field testing of an all-plastics drop-foot brace. The brace consists of two fiberglass-epoxy rods attached to a calf band at one end, and the shoe at the other end. The flexibility of the rods allows for almost-normal ankle and foot motion without the necessity for an ankle joint, and without sacrificing necessary medial-lateral stability. (Author)
