NOISE ATTENUATING MATERIALS IN AN S-141/G SHELTER.

Abstract

Noise measurements were taken inside an S-141/G shelter with varying amounts of acoustical material applied to all surfaces except the floor. A typical ventilating blower was used as a noise source and two acoustical materials were used, a half-inch material and a one-inch material. Results are presented in speech interference levels (SIL) versus amount of acoustical material installed. (Author)
