BEAM WIDTH AND CURRENT DISTRIBUTION FOR CIRCULAR-ARRAY ANTENNAS: TABLES.

Abstract

Beam width and amplitude and phase distribution required for Tchebycheff-type patterns are presented for two basic types of element -- the narrow axial slot and the axial dipole a quarter wavelength above a metal cylinder. The distributions for other types would be similar. Distributions for arrays of 16 to 256 elements are included, with design side-lobe levels from -20 to -50 dB. Current modes are also given, for use in designs which require individual excitation of the modes, rather than excitation of the sums of the modes. (Author)
