ELEMENTS OF A THEORY OF INTERNAL WAR.

Abstract

The document represents part of the current Social Planning Research Program's studies of potential conflict. Conflict as one outcome of societal dissatisfaction is considered. Genesis, focus and extent of dissatisfaction are discussed and a typology of forms of discontent is presented. Finally, some ramifications of violence (as expressed in internal war) as reactions to cumulative dissatisfaction are suggested. (Author)
