SOME DIFFICULTIES IN THE THEORY OF MAGNETOGASDYNAMIC FLOWS INVOLVING UPSTREAM INFLUENCE EFFECTS.

Abstract

In the mathematical analysis of certain types of magnetogasdynamic flow problems in which boundaries are present it is necessary to take account of the solution of the Maxwell equations in the boundary regions. Some authors have neglected to consider this solution, and this article comments on some of the formulations which are defective in this respect. (Author)
