DISPERSION RELATIONS IN HIGH ENERGY PHYSICS.

Abstract

A phase shift analysis of pion-nucleon scattering up to 1.5 GeV was made which revealed a quantity of resonance structure. Low energy pion photoproduction is now almost completely understood in terms of pion-nucleon scattering. Strange-particle coupling constants were evaluated and shown to be consistent with pseudo-scaler SU(3). Several mathematical contributions to the study of dispersion relations were made. (Author)
