CALIBRATION OF FLUIDIC OSCILLATOR TIME MARK GENERATORS FOR SELF-RECORDING GAGES.

Abstract

Several factors affect the operating frequency of the fluidic oscillator time-mark generator used in the mechanical self-recording overpressure-time gages. The report delineates these factors, describes the methods of calibration and reports the results thereof. The primary factors considered are changes in ambient temperature, barometric pressure (altitude), and changes in the fluid supply pressure. It is concluded from these tests that the present fluidic timers can be used under a wide range of environmental operating conditions with the application of the proper correction factor. The applications of these factors are presented. (Author)
