MAGNETIC TAPE RECORDING HANDBOOK,

Abstract

The purpose of this handbook is to give those people concerned with operation and maintenance of tape recorders a better understanding of the theories and techniques of magnetic recording. In addition, some practical considerations are offered relating to the application and limitations of the direct and FM recording processes. These considerations should be of value to the system designer in adapting magnetic recording to his system requirements. (Author)
