FINITE EXPANSION OF A HOLE IN A RIGID-WORKHARDENING DISK OF INITIALLY NON-UNIFORM THICKNESS.

Abstract

A complete analytical solution is developed for the problem of finite expansion of a circular hole of zero (pin-hole) or finite initial radius, using Tresca's yield condition and the associated flow rule together with an isotropic strain-hardening law. Results of previous investigations are obtained as special cases of the present more general, closed-form solution. (Author)
