AUTOMATED DETERMINATION OF GLUCOSE USING GLUCOSE OXIDASE AND POTASSIUM FERROCYANIDE.

Abstract

A study was undertaken to find a rapid, accurate, and reproducible method for determining blood glucose. For these reasons, the decision was made to adapt the glucose-oxidase procedure for use on an automatic system. It was subsequently found, however, that existing technics did not meet all the criteria specified. The procedure was modified so that the problem of carry-over (encountered when o-tolidine or o-dianisidine is used) was eliminated. (Author)
