STEAM POST-TREATMENTS TO REDUCE THICKNESS SWELLING OF PARTICLEBOARD (EXPLORATORY STUDY).

Abstract

For post-treatment, special apparatus was designed for a small hotpress so that particleboards could be steamed, with or without restraint against thickness swelling. Ten-minute treatments at 360F saturated steam, without restraint, were exceedingly effective in removing springback. (Author)
