COMMUNICATIONS STUDY STATE OF MISSISSIPPI.

Abstract

Phase II of the study is defined as follows: (1) A survey of the present and future requirements for communications facilities to provide a definition of the needs of the various agencies for communications capability today and in the future. (2) A study of the Civil Defense requirements for communications in emergencies which will encompass all of the systems envisioned for the state agencies including the use of educational television and Electronic Data Processing. The report concerns the general and specific requirements of agencies which require specialized communications capabilities today or which will require such specialized communications in the future. The report also contains details of the telephone systems presently in use in the State, and defines areas of immediate improvement, as well as requirements which will dictate changes in system concept.
