AUTEC SEDIMENT DEPOSITION/EROSION STUDY. INTERIM REPORT

Abstract

The report presents the results of the first three surveys in a planned series of seven replicate surveys. The study is designed to monitor sediment accretion and/or erosion on the beaches and in the channels at the AUTEC main base and downrange sites. The data collection methods are described in detail. Channel data are presented in tabular form for all three surveys and graphically for the third survey. Beach profiles show the change in the slope of the beaches over a six month period. The data are discussed and a few preliminary interpretations are made.
