A STUDY OF ORGANIC MATERIALS FOUND IN THE UPPER 60 MICRONS OF THE SEA SURFACE AND THEIR RELATIONSHIPS TO SURFACE FILMS.

Abstract

Organic matter from the sea surface (upper 60 microns) and from a depth of 10 cm was sampled and identified. Particular attention was given to living organisms. Trends in meteorological and oceanographic variables were correlated with the quantitative data.
