METEOROLOGICAL SHELL FOR STANDARD ARTILLERY PIECES: A FEASIBILITY STUDY,

Abstract

A feasibility study has been performed which considered the applicability of an instrumented shell for a standard rifled gun as a means of obtaining meteorological data for tactical Army applications. The conclusions have shown that the technical feasibility of a meteorological shell is within the state-of-the-art of engineering practices. (Author)
