THE LAW OF THE ROCKET SERVICE,

Abstract

A military newspaper item by the Commander-in-Chief of Strategic Rocket Forces mainly a propaganda piece extolling the combat readiness of his command, and citing the fact that all missions assigned by the Ministry of Defense for 1966 have been accomplished. Unit commanders named are Toroshin, Kizbashev, and Moryakov. Toroshin's unit received the Red Banner of the Military Council of the Rocket Forces. The article indicates that his command encompasses those forces whose rockets are fired from launching sites of a permanent nature and that they possess nuclear weapons. Compared to other branches of the armed forces, most of the training is conducted by means of simulator trainers rather than an actual equipment.
