HIGH-SPEED SURVEY OF PLASMA IN SOFT X-RAY AND ULTRAVIOLET REGION,

Abstract

As plasma temperature rises its radiation spectrum shifts to the shortwave region which is difficult to study. Of special interest is the range of ultra-violet and soft x-ray. High speed survey is a requirement. The authors suggest an electrical-optical converter (EOP) with window for admission of x-radiation. However, it is possible to use a standard EOP if, with the help of a luminophor, the radiation is converted to correspond to the sensitivity of the photocathode. Such an arrangement is described.
