CALCULATION OF THE WORKING PROCESS IN A COOLED GAS TURBINE,

Abstract

An analytical method is presented for calculating the gas expansion in a cooled gas turbine and for determining the energy losses due to cooling. Formulas are derived which make it possible to determine the actual work, inlet and exit gas temperatures, and the amount of heat lost to cooling. The formulas are sufficiently accurate and are recommended for the analysis and selection of cycle parameters and for designing power plants with high temperature gas turbines. (Author)
