AN F/2 FOCAL REDUCER FOR THE 60-INCH U. S. NAVAL OBSERVATORY TELESCOPE.

Abstract

The report deals with the development of a relay system--from telescope to collimator to grating (and/or filter) to high-speed camera--in order to speed up exposure time by a factor of about 20 for the U.S Naval Observatory's largest telescope, which is at Flagstaff, Arizona. The primary mirror is a 60-inch-diameter paraboloid. (Author)
