ON APPROXIMATION BY POLYNOMIALS HAVING RESTRICTED RANGES.

Abstract

Existence and uniqueness of a best approximation by polynomials whose range is restricted to lie between lower and upper functions is obtained. In addition a computational algorithm for obtaining the best approximation is discussed. (Author)
