MACHINE BUILDING (SECTION 43 AND 44),
Abstract
Section 43 of the article briefly reviews four basic methods of bending shaped blanks and cites examples of appropriate use of each method. Section 44, entitled 'Press Works' briefly categorizes operations which are included under this title. Such operations include: (1) pressing on press lathes; (2) press-rolling on rolling lathes; (3) crimping, flanging, and edgecutting on special vertical two-spindle crimping machines. (Author)
