AN AUTOMATIC STOCHASTIC PREDICTOR,

Abstract

The document describes an electronic implementation of W. R. Ashby's theory of 'prediction' in state-determined systems with stochastic forcing operators. The automatic stochastic prediction theory is discussed, and possible biological applications are indicated. The machine is a simulation model adequate to demonstrate the achievement of equilibrium under the simple composite operator (sigma sub a. alpha. rho). (Author)
