OUTLINE OF A CONCEPTUAL SEMANTICS FOR GENERATION OF COHERENT DISCOURSE

Abstract

The paper develops a method for generating coherent sentences. A conceptual semantics is presented, that when coupled with a conceptual dependency abstraction of meaning, allows concepts to be linked in a manner consonant with the system's knowledge of the world. The paper is part of a series of papers concerned with the problem of language synthesis for artificially intelligent systems.
