CALCULATION OF AXISYMMETRIC NOZZLES TAKING INTO ACCOUNT EQUILIBRIUM PHYSICAL-CHEMICAL TRANSFORMATIONS (RASCHET OSESIMMETRICHNYKH SOPEL S UCHETOM RAVNOVESNYKH FIZIKO-KHIMICHESKIKH PREVRASHCHENII),

Abstract

Problems relating to the flow of various gases in a nozzle of given design and to the effects of the physical properties of a gas on the coefficient of impulse loss in a nozzle were studied. The calculations involved axis lined flow of gas through a nozzle of given contour and designs of nozzles with uniform and parallel flow at the nozzle exit. Effects of viscosity and heat transmission were ignored. The study involved axisymmetric nozzles with apex point. The method of characteristics was used in the calculations. The adiabatic line indicator K was 1.207 for the selected composition of gas, designated 'composition I.' Dependence of pressure on density along the line of constant entropy, p = p (rho), is illustrated for that composition. Flows were calculated for two nozzles. (Author)
