ACOUSTIC RELATIONS FOR THE DESIGN OF HIGH-FREQUENCY ACOUSTIC TEST SYSTEMS,

Abstract

General acoustic considerations that enter into the design of high-frequency acoustic test systems are given. Formulas are derived for computing the dimensions of required tanks in terms of the maximum transducer size and the wavelength. The effects of reverberation are examined and the special advantages of wooden tanks are described. (Author)
