ERROR ANALYSIS OF THE HUMIDITY-TEMPERATURE MEASURING SET, AN/TMQ-11.

Abstract

The report discusses the results of tests performed at AFCRL to determine how closely the AN/TMQ-11 agrees with the ML-592. The analysis presented is based on 1769 observations obtained under field conditions from 1 November 1966 to 1 September 1967. The tests indicate that a negative bias error exists in the AN/TMQ-11 lithium chloride Honeywell and Foxboro dewpoint sensor(s). If the dewcel readings are adjusted to compensate for this bias, dewpoint temperatures can be accepted as indicated approximately 90 percent of the time. (Author)
