THEORETICAL INVESTIGATION OF BULK SEMICONDUCTOR TECHNIQUES FOR APPLICATION TO PHASED ARRAY MICROWAVE DEVICES.

Abstract

The objectives of the contract are: to conduct a predominantly theoretical investigation of bulk semiconductor techniques with a view towards development of devices applicable to phased array microwave devices. The following topics have been investigated during the report period: (1) Wave propagation studies in semiconductors. (2) Coupled-mode instabilities. (3) Current instabilities in non-uniform semiconductors. The research progress within these areas is reported in the present progress report. (Author)
