STUDY OF EMISSION SPECTRA BY PHASE-DISCRIMINATION METHODS.

Abstract

A detailed report is given of the analysis of the emission spectrum of the OH radical in the regions of the fundamental and first overtone vibration-rotation bands. The observations were made with a high-resolution prism-grating vacuum spectrometer. Reports are also included on work completed on pulsed argon lasers, the emission spectrum of CN obtained by using microwave excitation, and the results of experiments carried out with a selective-frequency CO2 laser.
