ANOMALOUS SKIN EFFECT IN A GASEOUS PLASMA,

Abstract

Experimental data are presented for the skin effect in a plasma in which the electron thermal motions are sufficient to increase the field penetration. The results are consistent with the Weibel criteria for the existence of anomalous penetration and with the theoretical anomalous penetration depth. (Author)
