OCEANOGRAPHIC THERMAL GRADIENT DISPLAY STUDY.

Abstract

This report describes a study of oceanographic thermal gradient display techniques. The intent of the study was to provide a suitable approach for the development of a three-dimensional classroom demonstrator that would adequately display various oceanographic thermal gradients associated with acoustical transmission. Two techniques, an electro-magnetic tube analog and an optical analog, were breadboarded. (Author)
