VIBRATIONS OF CURVED BEAMS.

Abstract

A review of the literature pertaining to the free and forced vibrations of curved beams is presented herein. The literature is partitioned into two categories; namely, (1) Vibrations in the Plane of Initial Curvature, and (2) Vibrations out of the Plane of Initial Curvature. Representative results of various investigations are presented, and comparisons are noted between the theoretical and experimental data wherever possible. (Author)
