LONGITUDINAL ULTRASONIC ATTENUATION OF PURE STRONG-COUPLING SUPERCONDUCTORS II,

Abstract

Previous work on low frequency longitudinal ultrasonic attenuation in pure strong-coupling superconductors is extended to all values of ql (l = electron mean free path, q = phonon wave number). The result differs from that obtained for impurity scattering because vertex corrections are unimportant in the present problem. Numerical calculations of the reduced attenuation were performed for various values of q. (Author)
