A STUDY OF EXCITON STATES IN ELECTRIC AND MAGNETIC FIELDS.

Abstract

The effect of static applied magnetic and electric fields on excitons is considered in terms of the Wannier exciton. Considering the fields as first order perturbations, the Hamiltonian for the system is derived. An experimental investigation of electrical and magnetic field effects on these exciton states is discussed. (Author)
