TURBULENT SPECTRAL DATA IN LARGE-SCALE TURBULENT BOUNDARY LAYERS, DEVELOPED OVER DIFFERENT TYPES OF BOUNDARY ROUGHNESS.

Abstract

Experimental results of the one-dimensional energy spectrum are reported. These data were obtained in the two-dimensional boundary layer developed along the floor of a large wind tunnel. Measurements were made in boundary layers with three different types of boundary roughness. The influence of the boundary roughness on the shape of the energy spectra can be seen from the data. A method is presented to correct the measurements for an error which may arise by using wide band-pass filters. (Author)
