SYSTEM ORGANIZATION FOR ASW SYSTEMS EVALUATION,

Abstract

The Navy has had some difficulty acquiring statistically valid data on complete mixtures of weapons systems. Yet this is how fleet operators use the systems rather than employing them as individual tactical units. The Chief of Naval Operations (Op-95) has established an organization to accomplish this goal by assisting the fleet commander to gather these data during specific exercises conducted within the Atlantic ASW System. This paper describes the structure, mission, and progress of this in-house development. (Author)
