A HYBRID COMPUTER FOR IMAGE SPATIAL FILTERING IN NONCOHERENT LIGHT.

Abstract

Efforts were made to investigate and perform parallel image logic experiments with an image storage tube utilizing inputs from pictorial data. Attempts were made to learn to recognize features which can be recognized by the human eye with such a device. To achieve these goals, a study was made on image storage tube computations. To perform the parallel image logic experiments, the Cybercon was designed and built, and is described in detail. Results of experimental efforts to recognize features are also presented. In the latter phase of this contract period, a two-tube cascaded experimental setup was constructed. (Author)
