DELINEATION OF SEA FLOOR ROUGHNESS IN THE NORTH PACIFIC.

Abstract

The roughness of the North Pacific sea floor has been assessed and subdivided, largely on the basis of seismic profiler data. A preliminary chart delineating the areal extent of the three major subdivisions has been made. The effect of sediment thickness on roughness is discussed. (Author)
