PULSE MAGNETIC STAMPING (IMPULSNAYA MAGNITNAYA SHTAMPOVKA),

Abstract

This article investigates pulse methods of treating materials by means of high energies. The author commences by stating the advantages and describing the development of pulse magnetic stamping. Formulas are derived for both electroinductive pulse magnetic stamping and electrodynamic magnetic stamping which describe the theoretical bases of these methods. The practical applications of electroinductive pressing are discussed vis-a-vis tubular and hollow billets, plane parts, hole punching, and molding parts from ingot slabs. The design of cylindrical stationary inductors, cylindrical breaking inductors, and plane inductors for stamping parts from hollow and plane billets is then investigated. Following this, the author shows the practical application of electrodynamic magnetic stamping of tubular billets. The article concludes with a brief investigation of the power and mechanical equipment for pulse magnetic stamping. (Author)
