CONTINUOUS-WAVE THREE-COMPONENT SONIC ANEMOMETER

Abstract

A continuous-wave three-component sonic anemometer is described. A physical description is presented, with several illustrations showing the construction of the anemometer and the manner in which it is mounted. Design specifications are presented, and the operating procedure is described. The theory of operation is discussed from the point of view of establishing performance limits on the anemometer. The overall system is discussed and a detailed description of circuits is presented. Instructions for operating the anemometer are presented.
