INFLUENCE OF THICKNESS OF LUBRICANT LAYER ON LONGEVITY OF ANTIFRICTION BEARINGS (VLIYANIE TOLSHCHINY SMAZOCHNOGO SLOYA NA DOLGOVECHNOST PODSHIPNIKOV KACHENIYA),

Abstract

The longevity of a contact point between two moving bodies is estimated as a function of the lubricant thickness in the contact zone. From experimental studies the contact load is related to the number of load cycles and a longevity ratio is obtained. The result is plotted graphically. The results are the same for roller as well as ball bearings.
