UTILIZATION OF CARTOGRAPHIC METHOD FOR STUDY OF A FOCUS OF CRIMEAN TYPE HEMORRHAGIC FEVER,
Abstract
In order to study the hemorrhagic fever focus in Astrakhan Oblast, a cartographic analysis was made of available literature and personal data concerning various natural and agricultural factors that may influence existence of Crimean hemorrhagic fever (CHF) foci in Astrkhan Oblast. A map of CHF distribution in Astrakhan Oblast was drawn based on available incidence records for the last 10 years (1953 to 1963) and on physiographic maps of localities located in the Lower Volga (1961).
