EFFECTIVENESS OF FOREST DERATIZATION WITHIN NATURAL FOCI OF HEMORRHAGIC FEVER WITH RENAL SYNDROME (HFRS),

Abstract

Little is known about hemorrhagic fever with renal syndrome (HFRS), for which till now no effective specific prophylactic measures have been proposed. Recently for prevention of this infection, a plan was put in the forefront for deratization, measures directed for protection of the human population and their dwellings from forest rodents (Common Red-backed Vole and others) that may be possible reservoirs of the virus in nature.
