VERTICAL DISTRIBUTION OF IXODID TICKS OF FARM AND WILD ANIMALS IN SOUTHERN KIRGIZIA,

Abstract

In southern Kirgizia, among transmissible diseases for which ixodid ticks are vectors, haemosporidiosis of farm animals, Q fever, and other diseases are widespread. Ixodid tick ecology and fauna however, has been insufficiently studied in these regions. The purpose of this article is to elucidate the distribution of ixodid tick fauna in vertical belts. (Author)
