DESCRIPTION OF A NEW TICK SPECIES DERMACENTOR ASIATICUS SP. N. (ACARINA, IXODIDAE) FROM NORTHEASTERN ASIA,

Abstract

The morphology of D. asiaticus sp. n. most closely resembles that of Dermacentor sinicus Sch., 1931, D. antrorum Reanik, 1950, and D. pomeranzevi Serdyukova, 1951, of the Palearctic fauna. Adult ticks of this group of species of the genus Dermacentor are characterized by relatively small size, dull enamel ornamentation, male coxae IV either not widened or widened very weakly. (Author)
